Sessions & Packages

Single Tidying Session

Each Single KonMari Tidying Session is focused and customized to your needs. It is perfect if you want to tidy on your own and would like additional guidance and support for a specific category or area.

  • Full Assessment (in-home or virtually)
    - Between 4-5 hours in which we will do your ideal lifestyle vision, and home tour, start the decluttering & organizing process, and email you next steps.

  • 1-hour session (only virtually)
    - This is if you want to go the “Do It Yourself”-route and need pointers to specific questions.
    - This is also if you want to test it before you go all in.

9-HOUR PACKAGE

This package includes up to three half-day sessions of 1:1 KonMari Tidying (10 hours).

This is ideal if you only want to do one KonMari category (e.g., clothes). If you live in a very small space, we might be able to get even more categories done. What’s most important, you are taking action and will gain momentum!

17.5-HOUR PACKAGE

This package includes up to five half-day sessions of 1:1 KonMari Tidying (17.5 hours).

This is ideal if you want to do two to three KonMari categories (e.g., clothes, books, and paper). Or if you have a session for each of the five categories and are motivated to work on your own to complete the category after each session.

37-HOUR PACKAGE

This package includes up to ten half-day sessions of 1:1 KonMari Tidying (37 hours).

Here you can have up to two sessions for each KonMari category (clothes, books, paper, miscellaneous, sentimental). Or, again, you can do fewer categories but dive deeper into the ones you need the most help with.

All packages include:

1. Personalized 1:1 KonMari coaching in-person or virtually via Zoom.

2. Helpful checklists that give you orientation and clarity.

2. Email and text support between sessions.

3. A platinum-certified KonMari consultant trained by Marie Kondo.

4. An empathetic, patient, warm, but practical and goal-driven coach.

5. Additional hours that can be booked at a discounted rate.

Steps to take:

Step 1: Discovery Call

Book an appointment for a free discovery call via Zoom. Fill out the form that appears in the booking process. You’ll receive a confirmation email with the day and time and the Zoom link.

Step 2: Booking

Once we confirm if we are a good fit, we reserve the dates for our sessions. Afterward, I’ll send you a link to book a package and sign the contract. After I received the payment and the signed contract, your sessions are officially confirmed.

Step 3: Prep-Work

Before our first session, I’ll send you an email, so you can prepare yourself in the best way possible. For example, when you want to start with clothes, then your preppping can mean doing your laundry before.

Step 4: KonMari Consultation

During our first session, we’ll tour your space. We also talk about your ideal lifestyle. And then we get started in creating the space you long for. I’ll guide you step by step so you won’t feel overwhelmed.

 FAQs

  • I have a flexible rate depending on if it's only one hour, a 3 to 4-hour session, or a package with several sessions. The more hours/sessions you purchase, the lower the hourly rate gets. As of 2023, my hourly rate is between $135-$200 per hour.

    If you live in a different country, I can offer a sliding scale specifically to your situation (e.g., if you live in Portugal and have a Portuguese salary, my hourly rate can be lower if I have the availability in my schedule).

    We will discuss the rates during the free discovery call.

  • It depends on various factors:

    - How big your home is and how many things you own.

    - How much of your space you want to declutter and organize.

    - How quickly you can make decisions about what to keep and what to let go of.

    - How much you are willing to work on your own between our sessions.

  • I have been doing this professionally since 2017, and I observed that the clients with the best results are the ones who commit fully and don't just dip their toe in the water.

    They know this is not a one-time event but a process over several weeks and months.

    If you want to declutter your whole home and all five KonMari categories, then the first step is committing yourself to the journey it will take. This means it will take time, energy, and money. If you say "Yes," you probably have to say "No" to other things for a little while so you can focus on your KonMari Tidying Festival.

    If you want to declutter your clothes, books, papers, Komono (miscellaneous), and sentimental and you live in a one-bedroom apartment by yourself, then you can more or less expect the following:

    It takes time:
    - We will work together for approximately three months.
    - With a 3-4-hour sessions once a week (or, if possible, even more often).
    - After each session, you have homework, so you keep your momentum.

    It takes energy:
    Decluttering and organizing are work and will take energy from you. But the great thing is that very quickly you will see that because of the work we do together, the daily routines become easier and more joyous. Things that you couldn't find before, you immediately know where they are and can reach them without playing Tetris (meaning taking out three items so you can reach another item in the back).

    It takes money:
    For $5,000, you will get 37 hours (prices as of 2024), which means we have a maximum of 10 sessions and will accomplish a lot.

    Some clients use four sessions on their clothes because they own a lot and fashion is very important to them. Other clients finish their clothes in two sessions, and they can do books in one session, paper in one, and then have a lot of sessions left for Komono (the biggest of the categories) and sentimental (the hardest of the categories).

    There is no right or wrong because it depends on your goal. This is a custom service for you to feel lighter, clearer, and happier.

    It depends on you if the 37-hour package is sufficient for what you need. Maybe you need more or less. You can always purchase a smaller package and then buy another one afterward.

    I also had clients who only wanted to declutter and organize their clothes and their small Manhattan kitchen, and then a 17.5-hour package was sufficient for them because they could make quick decisions.

  • No problem at all! During the free discovery call, you can tell me which categories you want to focus on.

  • Think about the KonMari tidying journey as therapy for your home. If you've ever gone to therapy, you know it takes more than one session to notice a change in your life. It usually takes months or even years until you see more significant results. I know this from my own experience.

    With the KonMari Method, you will see results already after the first session. Of course, it's also a process that takes weeks and even months (depending on your speed), but you see the before and after immediately. The process is life-changing!

    As I don't declutter and tidy FOR you, but WITH you, your home will change, but you will change even more (above all, your spending habits). For 3-4 hours each session, you'll get my 100% attention. That's time only for you, your specific situation, and you'll get practical solutions. All this will lighten your burden and make navigating and maintaining your home more attainable.

    A 45-minute therapy session in New York City is usually around $200. If you go once per week, then you pay $10,400 for 52 sessions of 45 minutes each for a year. And usually, you go to therapy for several years (at least I did).

    If you declutter and organize your home with me, we also will meet once a week. But we meet for 3-4 hours and will get a lot of stuff done. This will have an instant effect on the quality of your everyday life.

    We will work for approximately three months, and you will be a different person by then. The investment of $5,000 for a 37-hour package might sound like a lot, but it's only for a short period in your life.

    My clients say they feel less stressed, have more clarity, and feel lighter and happier. Imagine what this newly gained space in your outer and inner life will do for your mental health.

  • I’m offering in-person sessions in New York City. Travel greater than one hour in either direction will be billed at 50% of the agreed-upon rate.

    I also offer virtual sessions worldwide via Zoom. For these, you need a computer with a web cam, or tablet and a stable internet connection.

    In case you want me to come to your city, state, or country, and we’ll do a whole week of KonMari tidying, you can tell me during the discovery call. Some clients need in-person sessions. I’m open to travel if you pay for my accomodations (flights, hotel, etc.).

  • I'm fluent in English, German, Spanish, and in the process of learning European Portuguese.

  • All sessions and packages are pre-paid via Zelle, Venmo, Check, or Cedit Card and non-refundable. However, you are not going blind to the KonMari session. You are having the free discovery call with me. So you can ask all your questions and bring up concerns.

    Also, this is not a meal set before you but a developing relationship. If we work together and you don't like something, please tell me, and we'll change it up. I'm here to support you in your tidying journey in the way you need to be supported. If you are scared, please read the testimonials page or mention your concerns in the discovery call.

  • - I have decluttered, organized, and designed spaces for over 15 years.

    - I worked with women, men, couples, children from ages 3-85.

    - Since 2016 I have practiced the KonMari Method® and have over 1,200 hours of work experience in this method (I'm platinum, the next level will be master level).

    - I know how to live in a suburban environment with more space in the US, Germany, and Portugal, but I also lived in a tiny studio apartment in Manhattan with only 300 square feet (30 square meters). Which means I can adapt to your needs.

    - I offer a safe environment for LGBTQIA and BIPOC people. A bit of context, I grew up with a gay dad, worked as an inclusive pastor and wedding officiant, worked and lived in several Native American and Native South American communities. Plus, I'm an immigrant - in short: I love diversity!

    - As a former pastor, I counseled and guided many people. Spirituality is essential to me. So whatever your spiritual or religious practice is, I'm going to respect it and never impose my beliefs on you!     - My biggest assets are my humor and optimistic view of life. I had a very tough childhood and youth, and my faith and spirit helped me survive. So be aware: You will get some laughs out of us working together.

    - Traveling is part of my ideal lifestyle. I've been to over 20 different countries and hope to see more in the future. Due to my love for travel and living abroad, I live a minimalist lifestyle. I'm aware that most of my clients don't want to become minimalists, and that's totally fine for me - please have no fear that I push you in any direction! It's about your ideal lifestyle, not mine!

    - I speak four languages and worked/ lived in four countries, which helps me adapt to different people, cultures, and circumstances.
