Hey there everybody!
I got an order to make a very big card. This card needed to have enough space, so that 70 people can easily write a little goodbye-note for John who is going to leave NYC and to go to Japan.
"Bon Voyage - John"
I felt excited to take this challenge and created the biggest card that I've ever made. :-)
The card is 30,5 x 30,5 cm (12" x 12") and with the umbrella beside it you should get the dimensions easier. When it's open the dimensions are 61 x 61 cm (24" x 24")!
For the edges I used satin ribbon. The card base consists out of very strong cardboard pieces and to dress them up I used Designer Series Paper.
That's how the card looks when the first layer is opened. I stamped all those triangles with different smudge stamps. On top of all those triangles can be written on.
Each triangle is fixed inside the card base with the satin ribbon. This means the card can be fold open back and forth and the ribbon will have no problems with that. Paper might rip after 70 people had it in hands, but the satin ribbon can deal with that.
When the tags are all folded open, it shows the base layer with a ton of space to write on. Although it looks small on the photo, remember that the dimensions of this card are big!
I hope you enjoyed to see my first XL Card and I am wondering if I will get more orders to get the chance to use other colors. I already see a great card in purple. ;-)
Have a wonderful day!
